I do miss the sounds of the prairies and the heat of the dry wind on my face. I don't think I will ever give up my downtown living with access to every culture in the world but there will forever be a piece of the prairie in me. hAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8674460779884171000.post-33216897782855169852011-07-06T09:48:17.998-06:002011-07-06T09:48:17.998-06:00Thanks Nicole.

The term 'wetlands' includes them all. You know all this and are just trying to yank my chain. The entire Arctic is not Alaska's ANWR, but perhaps to you oil guys, the terminology IS to difficult.Kathy Hnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8674460779884171000.post-63452571773768672812011-07-06T07:26:03.787-06:002011-07-06T07:26:03.787-06:00Liked the slough pix K. I thought we were supposed to use the word wetland or marsh to make us think of persevation rather than a muddy water hole that's too shallow to swim in. Kind of reminds me of the comparison that in Russia the Arctic is referred to as Siberia, whereas in Alaska we have to say Arctic National Wild Life Refuge.Brian nAB&BChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06649717960242643665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8674460779884171000.post-5717811748993506402011-07-03T11:12:23.160-06:002011-07-03T11:12:23.160-06:00Really enjoyed these pictures - I happen to be a (...Really enjoyed these pictures - I happen to be a (current) city dweller, and definitely miss the sloughs!Nicole MacPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06161917242638249651noreply@blogger.com
