James Bond, Spy and Birder

Apparently, author Ian Fleming was a birdwatcher.  His character James Bond was named after an American ornithologist, James Bond, who authored The Birds of the West Indies.

In the flick, Die Another Day, our dishy hero pretends to be an ornithologist in Cuba.
"...the film also refers to the creation of the name "James Bond". When 007 picks up the book Birds of the West Indies, it is a nod to the author of the book, James Bond, whose name Ian Fleming used."   Wikipedia

My favourite Bond is Roger Moore and I think I really should have a Bondapalooza one of these rainy, chilly days.
