Fridays with Freddie #1

Really?  You think a barrier of toilet paper packages is going to keep me out of the bathroom?  Really?

I got shoved in the big pocket of my new mom's bathrobe - she seemed to need both hands to fix my breakfast.

I'm getting used to these bizarre house-pants my mom insists on wearing some days.  Makes my eyes go a little crazy...

or maybe it's just me, the crazy part, I mean!

I helped with the housework.  The mop is a lot of fun to ride.

We play alot.

See you next week, or maybe tomorrow on.....Caturday!

  1. Caturday is the best day of the week! Tank and his mom and dad are going out to Grandma S's for a swim tonight. Nothing cuter than watching the little guy tear down the condo hallway, with his little swim trunks falling down to show a little plumber's butt. holly

  3. I see initially you say you weren't sure if Freddie was he or she, but now see you using "he". If I'd had to guess, I'd have said he because that piebald black-and-white coat is caused by a recessive gene on the X chromosome. Not impossible for female cats to have this color pattern, but they must have it on both X chromosomes. (Having said that, my best friend has a female cat, named Patches, who is this color pattern.)

You comment on how loudly he purrs and I've been amazed at how loud tiny kittens can!

  4. Thanks, Prairiebirder. I'll be posting Freddie pix regularly - especially since this little one is taking up the time otherwise spent looking for birds!

Hi Rob, I'm still not sure of the sex of this kitten. I say 'he' or 'she' randomly at this point. Re the colour pattern, I've had a female cat that looked much like this kitten. Male cats can have two colours but not three+. Calicos and tortis are almost always female, except in the rare XXY males.

It's been a long time since I've been around a kitten this young. It's quite the entertaining and interesting situation.
