Don't know what kind of partridges we used to bag, but.... As a teenager when I used to come home from a hunting trip, I'd tell mom, "sorry no pheasants, only partridges". She'd always say, "they're good too".
They are tough to spot and even harder to shoot. Back then they always flushed just out of range. Now for reasons unknown they are very very rare here in Bluff Country (southeastern Minnesota). I don't think, however, I had anything to do with their demise. :)
It took me awhile to find all the partridges in the photo, but after three minutes I found them all.
