Hangin' Out with Ailyn

I'm currently in Vancouver visiting with my nephew Nathan, niece-in-law Suzanne and tres adorable grandniece Ailyn.

Today, yay, it was very sunny and warm.  Nathan, Ailyn and I took the SkyTrain downtown to Canada Place and a park at Science World.

Ailyn played with a little girl, Taylor, at the park.  After chasing each other through all the play things and slides, they sat down with Taylor's grandmother, Sylvia who read a book read to them.

  1. Sooooooooo Cute!
Have you been to the heron rookery by Stanley Park? We enjoyed a little excursion there a few years ago.

  2. Yes, I have been to the rookery. A couple years ago I was in Vancouver in May, stayed at the Sylvia Hotel on English Bay, which is, as You know, only a few blocks away. The herons were just starting to nest. These birds are usually very skittish around people, yet hundreds nest in such a heavily populated and high traffic area.
