A Small Lake and a Deer

I went for a drive yesterday.  This is an old mining pit that's become a rather pretty, wildlife friendly lake.

Did I mention it was cloudy and snowing a bit.  Someday I will take pictures on a sunny day.

And a White-tailed Deer

  1. Great shot K. Looks like the cover on one of my brother-in-law's magazines. Is this in a game preserve, is the season closed for whitetails, or did you just stalk this beauty carefully? Or do all animals identify Kathy as as their friend?

  2. Thanks Dianne. Thanks Brian. I was hearing guns blasting in a couple places this morning; however, I don't know whether deer are still fair game or not. This particular white-tail was starting to stamp her hoof, as in getting agitated. It was just along the road south of town in a bit of pasture.
