The forecasted snow storm duly arrived, starting with a few light flurries at 3:00 yesterday afternoon. Then a wet snow/rain mixture...
The wind picked up and
My back yard this morning - wet, heavy, clinging snow.
And as I was throwing out some peanuts to a forlorn looking squirrel, a flock of Snow Geese circled low overhead. Really low. They've just arrived, as I didn't see any around during yesterday prowl around my birding route. Snow Geese don't like snow. They will be very unhappy to be caught in this mess. I hope they can find some place to feed a bit today.

I hope that snow melts soon!
